21 August 2016SRGC OPEN
Well done to Neil Tait on winning the Gross competition and Richard Ballantyne on winning the Nett competition at this years SRGC Open.
Challenging conditions throughout the day with wind and rain for the early starters followed by a calmer but very misty spell with low visibility then the wind increased again for the later starters. Despite the weather there were 49 players who took part, down a good bit from previous years, and all seemed to have enjoyed the challenge of competing at the Hope course. Players were treated to an excellent lunch at the Murray Arms after their round.
Thanks must go to all who gave up time to help prepare the course, including Ben Lacy-Brown who has done well in his role as greenskeeper this season, Thanks also go to the folk who were on hand throughout the day to help out.

3rd Nett with 65 was Jack Tait
2nd Nett with 63 was James Sim

A huge thank you must go to our sponsor, Andy Gunn of Pipe Dream Plumbing for once again providing fantastic prizes for this event.
Thanks also to Ben, our greens keeper and the hard work of committee members for the condition of the course.
Thanks to Alex and Jacqueline Rosie, Davie Nicol and all others who helped on the day.
Stevie Linklater tells me he is enjoying playing this course, but don't panic Stevie, the ditches will eventually get you.
